This policy explains what personal information SeninWeb collects through seninweb.com, why we collect it, who else can see it, how long we keep it, and what you can require us to do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive, and it describes what this website actually does rather than what a template assumes.
1. Who is responsible for your information
seninweb.com is operated by FUTURE TECH YAZILIM TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, a company registered in Türkiye and trading as SeninWeb. References to “SeninWeb”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company, which is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We provide software development, e-commerce, digital marketing and telephony services to clients internationally.
For any question about this policy, or to make any of the requests described in sections 10 to 12, write to info@seninweb.com or use the form at seninweb.com/contact.
2. Information you give us directly
Enquiries. When you complete the contact form we receive the name, email address and message you submit. If you tell us about your business, your systems or your budget in that message, we hold that too, because you sent it to us.
Correspondence. If we exchange emails, messages or calls after your enquiry, we keep that correspondence so we have a record of what was discussed and agreed.
Blog comments. If you comment on an article we receive the name, email address and comment text you provide, along with your IP address and browser user agent string. WordPress collects these by default as a spam control measure.
Client project information. If you become a client, we will hold whatever is necessary to do the work and to invoice for it. Where a project requires access to your systems, we may process personal data belonging to your own customers or staff. In that situation you are the controller and we act as your processor, under the terms of the agreement between us rather than under this policy.
3. Information collected automatically
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs for every request: IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, HTTP status, referring page, and browser and operating system identifiers. These exist for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Browser storage. This site sets no analytics or advertising storage. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
4. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following bases.
Legitimate interests. Responding to your enquiry, keeping records of what was discussed, securing the website, preventing abuse and spam, and diagnosing technical faults. Our interest is in running and defending a business, and we consider it balanced against your interests because the data involved is limited and you provided most of it deliberately.
Performance of a contract. Delivering work you have engaged us to do, and invoicing for it.
Legal obligation. Retaining accounting and tax records for the periods required by law.
Consent. Only where we ask for it explicitly, for example if you ask to join a mailing list. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers. We do not send marketing email to people who have merely made an enquiry.
5. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you by automated means and we do not carry out profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Who else can see your information
Our hosting provider processes data on our instructions in order to serve the website and store its database and email.
YouTube. Pages containing an embedded video contact YouTube servers when the video loads or plays. Google may then receive your IP address and set its own storage under Google policies. This happens between your browser and Google, and we do not control or receive it.
Gravatar. Avatars beside blog comments are served by Gravatar, operated by Automattic, which receives a hashed form of the commenter email address in order to return an image.
Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to our accountants or lawyers where necessary, or to a public authority where we are legally required to.
Business transfer. If the business is sold or reorganised, records may transfer to the acquirer, who would be bound by this policy until it is replaced with notice to you.
7. International transfers
SeninWeb is established in Türkiye, so if you contact us from the EU, the UK or the United States your information is processed outside your own country. Where the GDPR applies, Türkiye is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision, and transfers are therefore made on the basis of appropriate safeguards or, for occasional enquiries, because the transfer is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
Third parties named in section 6 operate their own international infrastructure and publish their own transfer mechanisms.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access is limited to accounts that need it and is protected by strong credentials. Software is kept updated. Backups are held by our hosting provider.
No website can promise perfect security, and we do not. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and, where required, you.
9. How long we keep things
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months, so we have context if you come back to us, and then deleted. Client project records and the correspondence around them are kept for 10 years after the engagement ends, which is the period we are required to retain commercial and tax records. Blog comments are kept for as long as the article is published. Server logs are kept for the period our hosting provider retains them, which is typically weeks rather than months.
If you ask us to delete something sooner, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
10. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EU or the UK you have the right to be told what we hold about you and to receive a copy of it, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information erased, to have processing restricted, to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, to receive information you gave us in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent was the basis.
Write to info@seninweb.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, and we will tell you before charging anything.
If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the supervisory authority in your country of residence, work, or the place you believe the problem occurred.
11. Your rights if you are in the United States
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others that have since taken effect, generally have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale, its sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, and profiling with significant effects.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. The other rights are exercised the same way as in section 10, by writing to info@seninweb.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of them.
12. Your rights under Turkish law
Under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), data subjects may ask whether their personal data is processed, request information about the processing, learn its purpose and whether it is used consistently with that purpose, know the third parties to whom it is transferred, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request erasure or destruction, ask that any correction or erasure be notified to third parties who received the data, object to a result produced solely by automated analysis, and claim compensation for loss caused by unlawful processing.
Requests should be sent to info@seninweb.com and will be answered within 30 days.
13. Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, write to info@seninweb.com and we will delete it.
14. Other sites
Where we link to another website we do not control it, are not responsible for its content, and are not responsible for how it handles personal information. Read its own policy before giving it anything.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will take reasonable steps to tell you directly.
16. Contact
Questions, requests and complaints about this policy: info@seninweb.com, or the form at seninweb.com/contact.
