Profit & Margin Reports adds net profit reporting to PrestaShop: per order, per product and per period, after payment fees, real shipping cost and refunds. The built-in PrestaShop statistics show revenue and a gross margin based on wholesale price. This module shows what the store actually kept.
It installs as a standard PrestaShop module, reads the order data your store already has, and writes a per-order margin snapshot so reports stay fast and historical figures stay stable.
What It Calculates
Margin is computed on tax-excluded amounts, then reduced by everything that actually left the business: cost of goods, gateway fees, the real carrier cost, refunds and credit slips, discounts, cart rules and gift wrapping.
Cost of Goods
Native wholesale price by default, with overrides per combination, bulk CSV import, and cost history so older orders keep the cost that applied at the time.
Payment Fees
Fee rules per payment module: a percentage plus a fixed amount, set per currency and per country where that is needed.
Shipping Cost
The actual carrier cost by weight and zone, compared against what the customer paid for delivery on that order.
Reports and Exports
Every Breakdown
By day, week or month, and by product, combination, category, brand, customer, payment method, carrier, country and shop.
Dashboard KPIs
A back office widget with gross margin percentage, net margin percentage, and the top and bottom ten products by contribution.
Refunds Included
Credit slips and partial refunds are deducted from the order they belong to, so a refunded sale stops counting as profit.
Correct Tax Handling
Margin is calculated on tax-excluded amounts, so VAT never inflates what the report calls profit.
Exports and Digests
Export any report to CSV or XLSX, or schedule an email digest so the numbers arrive without opening the back office.
Multistore Reporting
Report per shop on a multistore installation, or across all of them from one screen.
Who It Is For
The module earns its place when costs vary enough that revenue stops being a useful signal.
- Merchants running roughly 50 orders a month or more, with mixed payment methods and paid shipping
- Stores where gateway fees and carrier costs differ enough to change which products are actually profitable
- Merchants who discount often and want to see what a cart rule cost them
- Agencies managing several PrestaShop stores, covered by one agency licence
Compatibility and Data
- PrestaShop 1.7.8 to 9.x
- Multistore supported
- Reads orders, order details, credit slips, payments and carriers from your own database
- A per-order margin snapshot table keeps reports fast and historical figures stable
- No external calls: the data never leaves your server
What this is not
This is a reporting module, not accounting software. It measures what each order contributed after the direct costs listed above. It does not handle overheads, payroll or tax returns, so the totals will not match an accountant’s profit and loss statement line for line.

Questions About This Module
Where does the cost price come from?
By default the module uses the wholesale price already stored against each product in PrestaShop. You can override that per combination, import costs in bulk from a CSV file, and keep a cost history so an order placed last year keeps the cost that applied at the time rather than today’s figure.
Does it work with multiple currencies?
Payment fee rules can be set per currency and per country. Multi-currency stores have more edge cases than single-currency ones, so tell us how your shop is configured before you buy and we will confirm what the reports will show.
Will the numbers match my accountant’s figures?
Not exactly, and they are not meant to. The module measures contribution per order after cost of goods, payment fees, shipping cost and refunds. An accountant’s profit and loss also carries overheads, salaries and tax treatment that no store module can see.
Does it slow down the back office?
Reports read from a per-order margin snapshot rather than recalculating every order on each request, so the reporting screens stay usable as order volume grows.
Which PrestaShop versions are supported?
PrestaShop 1.7.8 through 9.x. Check the version shown in your back office before installing, and ask us if your store sits outside that range.
See What Your Orders Actually Earned
Tell us your PrestaShop version, roughly how many orders you handle a month, and which payment methods you use. We will tell you what the reports would show for your store, and whether this module is the right answer for it.
