AI Voice Agent for Financial Services
Most calls to a financial services firm are administrative: booking a review, asking what documents are needed, chasing where an application has got to. An AI voice agent handles those and books adviser time, while anything that touches advice, money movement or account changes goes to a qualified person.

What the AI Agent Handles for Financial Services Firms
Adviser appointments
Books reviews and initial consultations against real adviser availability and meeting length.
Document checklists
Reads back exactly what a client needs to bring or send for the meeting type they are booking.
Application progress
Answers where an application has reached, from your own system, without speculating on outcomes.
Routing to the right team
Separates new enquiries, existing clients and introducers at the first question.
Hard boundaries
No advice, no fund or product recommendations, no account or payment changes by the agent.
Out of hours enquiries
Captures new enquiries in the evening so an adviser can call back first thing.
What a Call Actually Sounds Like
These are written call flows, not recordings of somebody else’s business. We build and demo them on your own services, prices and awkward questions.
Booking a review
Caller: I would like to review my pension.
AI agent: I can book you in with an adviser. Are you an existing client with us?
Caller: Yes, about four years.
AI agent: Thank you. A review runs an hour. I have Wednesday at 2 or Friday at 10.
Caller: Friday.
AI agent: Booked. You will get a list of what to bring, including your latest statements.
In the background: the appointment is created against the client record and the document checklist is sent automatically.
A boundary the agent holds
Caller: Should I move my money out of that fund?
AI agent: That is advice, and only a qualified adviser can give it. I am not going to offer a view. I can book you the earliest appointment, or put you through if someone is free now.
In the background: the request is logged and routed without the agent expressing any opinion on the investment.
What It Connects To
An agent that only talks moves the work to whoever reads the transcript. The value is in what the call changes in the systems you already run.
Adviser diaries
Real availability checked and meetings booked with the correct duration.
CRM and back office
Client lookup, call logging and task creation where your system exposes an API.
Existing phone system
Added to your current numbers and queues through SIP, FreePBX or Asterisk.
Controlled records
Recording and transcript retention configured to your compliance requirements, including off.
The telephony side is our own work rather than something we leave to you: see FreePBX integration, SIP trunking and API integration. Where a system you use has no usable API, or an off the shelf tool would do the job cheaper than a build, we will tell you that before you spend anything.
Calls Coming In, and Calls You Should Be Making
Inbound
The calls arriving now, including the ones that currently ring out.
- Appointment booking and rescheduling
- Document and paperwork questions
- Application progress chasing
- General service and process questions
- Routing clients, prospects and introducers
Outbound
The calls that get made when somebody finds the time, which is rarely.
- Annual review reminders
- Chasing outstanding paperwork
- Confirming appointments
- Reactivating dormant enquiries
- Returning missed calls
On outbound. Automated calling is regulated, and the rules differ by country and by call type. Consent, calling hours, do not call registers and disclosure that the caller is speaking to an automated system all apply in most places. We build campaigns to the rules that apply to you, and the lawful basis for calling remains yours.
AI Voice Agents for Financial Services Firms: Common Questions
Will it give financial advice?
No, and it is built so that it cannot. It answers administrative questions from your own material, books appointments and captures enquiries. Any question about what a client should do, which product suits them, or whether to move money hits an escalation rule and goes to a qualified adviser. We set those rules wide at launch and only narrow them if you ask.
Can it move money or change accounts?
No. We do not build payment initiation or account changes into the agent, and it does not take card or bank details. Those stay with your existing authenticated process, which keeps the sensitive part of the call out of any transcript.
How does this sit with our compliance obligations?
That is your call to make, and we build to the requirements you set. Recording, transcripts, retention and what the agent may say are all configurable. We will not tell you it is compliant, because that depends on your regulator and your permissions. We will show your compliance team exactly what it does and does not do.
Can it identify existing clients?
Usually on the number, or by asking for a reference. That lets it route existing clients to the right team instead of putting them through new enquiry questions. Full identity verification for anything sensitive stays with a person or your existing process.
Is it suitable for a small practice?
Sometimes. If you regularly miss calls while in meetings, which is most of the day for advisers, the case is strong. If your call volume is low, a good answering service may be cheaper and we will say so.
Want to Hear This on Your Own Calls?
Tell us how your calls arrive today and how many you are missing. We will map what an AI voice agent could answer, book and route for a business like yours, and say plainly if the numbers do not justify it.
